    Help Us Rebuild

    • If you feel SSQQ has had an influence on your life, please help us keep going. SSQQ Dance has been a part of our community for decades, and we are hoping caring individuals and groups interested in supporting dance in Houston will step up and help us rebuild. 
    • Our Studio in The Heights was severely flooded – and now the lease has been terminated and the walls/floors bulldozed. We built from scratch before and I’m ready to rebuild even better this time. Seven years ago; Donations were collected which allowed SSQQ Dance to build one of the finest dance studios in the country: the best floors & sound systems, safe & comfortable – then a hurricane took it all away.
    • While I’m doing applications for loans, I’m looking for Angels to contribute and allow us to continue teaching dance. Can you steer us toward any grants or financial assistance? Please help us if you are able. 
    • This time around, I want to provide more stability for SSQQ and purchase a property rather than sign another lease. We did it before, and I believe it’s possible to raise the funds for a new location. My goal is $200,000 to get the process started. 
    • There is a burning desire to build the finest dance facility Houston has ever seen; please consider helping bring back SSQQ.

    About Us

    WHAT WE OFFER

    DANCE LESSONS: We provide a fun environment for learning how to dance.  Our studio offers two hour dance lessons in four week sessions.  Our session dates are on the top of the schedule.  Your class is purchased per four week session and can register online (use the Register Now button) or show up 15-30 minutes early and register on site. 


    DROP INS:  If you wish to "Drop In" and take one class, the cost is $25 per class.  Simply show up 15-30 minutes early to pay on site. 


    SOCIALS:  We also host "Socials" which are exactly that....social dancing in a club atmosphere.  There is often an option for a 1 hour workshop prior to the Social.  Simply show up and pay on site.


    STUDIO RENTALS:  Do you need a venue for a Special Event?  We have 12,000 sqft of space available on Fridays and Saturdays.  For details contact Daryl at daryl@ssqqdance.com

    GREAT VALUE

    Our classes are two hours long and you are welcome to come every time the class you register for is offered.  For example:  If you register for Salsa Level I, you can come both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9.

    • Dancing can make you smarter!  It has been proven to increase your cognitive acuity at any age.  Social dancing is the best example since it requires split-second rapid-fire decision making.
    • Dancing is a great way to meet new friends.  Your social life is an important part of your health.
